Paulina Valencia is the author and illustrator of the picture book, The Night you were Born.

As a mother and an educator for more than 20 years, Paulina believes that children are God’s best invention. She grew up in Ecuador, the middle of the world, and together with her husband and two wonderful children resides in Kansas, the middle of the United States. As she nears the “empty nester” phase of parenthood, Paulina reminisces on the wonder that involves having children. She encourages parents to share special bonding time with their kids when they read her book, and she hopes that through her words she can reach every child that needs to hear how the world came to a halt the night they were born.
